M. Jones – How will the Pipeline affect me?

When I take my dog out for a walk , with my family or alone, I see a gorgeous, loving community breathing fresh air and walking on fresh land. I love it, I love Meols and all of the Wirral peninsula. I love to explore the endless forests, fields and beaches and take in everything it has to offer and more.

If the pipeline is built I may not have my beautiful view in the morning, I wouldn’t create any more memories without thinking “ I can still hear that awful AGI!” (An AGI is a humungous structure like a massive factory that would compress the gas to send it out to sea).

The AGI will have noise and flashing lights 24/7 making it hard to focus and people who go out for walks to get away from everything that they might be dealing with, will not feel the same relief that they would normally feel.

I also love animals and wildlife. Birds wake me up every morning , local cats and dogs, purring and barking in happiness. Countless years creating memories at Chester Zoo. These animals will suffer because of Peak Cluster!

Me and my family (mainly my mum) really care about this and so many more people. They try their best to do as much as they can by organising walks, campaigns, leaflet spreading and even making tiktok videos to help stop this awful project.

Emergency planning will cost money and people my age now will be responsible in the future. If this project does not go ahead, this won’t need to happen. They are just moving gas from one place to another and this will cost millions!

Traffic will get so much worse as there will be builders everywhere digging up our roads to put the pipe in the ground, workers driving big lorries around. I do lots of activities and it will mean that we will have to plan everything around roadworks and the chances of being stuck behind a lorry! I like my sleep and don’t want to have to get up early for Peak Cluster delays when we dont want this in the first place!

More young people need to realise the impact that it will have to them and their day to day lives. If the pipe ruptures, the gas is odorless, colourless and has no scent so we won’t know it has ruptured until it is too late and starts killing farm animals and many other things. CO2 is a silent killer!
You could help stop it now!
